A guy who once had some pretty funny twilight reviews but as time went on turned into a gigantic, sanctimonious dick who who wrote melodramatic tales about his tragic background that at times seemed to contradict each other.

"Marks Reads" refers to Mark Oshiro, who consumes media that people suggest and records his reactions. He was popular on Buzznet for posting his thoughts while reading Twilight and Harry Potter for the first time, before moving to his own website.

Part of the appeal is that Mark doesn't know any spoilers when he starts a new TV show or book, so reading his posts is like experiencing a story anew.

A dude who worked at Buzzfeed, and he wrote a series where he read and reviewed Twilight and was snarky and funny. And then he moved to Harry Potter expecting to hate it, except he really really liked it and it got really popular and he was really enthusiastic and it was a lot of fun. And then he started a site and that's his thing now, he just reads and watches things and writes reviews about how great they are and how much they BLEW HIS MIND and all this stuff.

Also his comments sections have a reputation for really going hard in the direction of having fairly strict rules about language and what terms are acceptable.
