I dunno, the way it read to me - as someone who hasn't gotten any further in Sherlock than adding it to their netflix queue - was kind of refreshing. I get tired of people acting like they deserve a goddamned medal for playing a gay role, or in this case a gay(ish) scene. It shouldn't be a big deal and I appreciate him treating it like a day at the office.
