One time in a Chinese restaurant the waiter seemed to assume my dad and I were married and my mom and brother were the kids. Which a) ew, and b) is really weird because my mom and I both definitely look our ages and she is 30+ years older than me so ?????

Maybe some people are age-blind or something. I dunno, it's weird. And the even weirder thing is, people tend to estimate me younger (fair enough, that goes for my dad, too), but not way someone's can just not notice. My dad had me in his late 30's, so that's a significant age gap there.

That's happened to me too D: They didn't say it to my face but they said it to my aunt who told me. Most people assume I'm 13 instead of 19, idk how they came to that conclusion
