Yes, same. It surprises me how often that the fact that the relationship for a hero/villain pairing would be incredibly fucked up at some level usually gets ignored. (And honestly, isn't that the best part?)

Yep. It doesn't even necessarily have to be hero/villain for people ignore how a relationship they're writing about couldn't go straight to fluffy if you want to stay at all true to the characters.
