Yeah that's the argument I hate. You're never going to get rid of locusts, no matter where you are or what form the locusts take. Complaining about microaggressions is like complaining about people being assholes in a way people are wont to be assholes. I'm not saying to not demand people to not be bigoted, and less bigotedness would decrease some of the microaggressions, but it seems pointless to focus on such small stuff as a way to campaign* against bigotry.

*Not that people can't correct others however they see fit; I was thinking more about the lines of those "these are the microaggressions I've been told" photo-sets. Most of them aren't even micro.

I gotta disagree with you a bit there. See, most black folks don't have to deal with the Klan or lynch mobs anymore. They may well have to deal with their boss disregarding a suggestion they made only to see another guy suggest the same thing an hour later and get a lot more attention and even praise for it. Shit like that, especially if it stacks up, can fuck with somebody. Eliminating it where it can be eliminated is hardly an unworthy goal.

That said, most of those photo-sets and the people who make and think with them are indeed full of shit.

Like when people said this shit was racist, they were just trying too hard.

I mean, it's not like "president is badass" has never been applied to a white president through history...

I guarantee you if we had gif's back in the 1900's you'd see a gif of Teddy Rosevelt bitch slapping god as a meme or someshuch.
