I think Joffrey gets more hate because he's more powerful and can do more harm and especially because he's hurting characters most people like, like Sansa and Tyrion.

MOST people like Sansa? Oh, things must be so different in TV!Fandom from book!Fandom.

I don't think there's a difference between TV!Fandom and book!Fandom about Sansa. I talk about GoT in sites like ONTD and TWoP and there, most people likes her. Maybe there are forums where she gets more hate.

Those are TV fandom places. Book fandom can be found at Westeros.org and Tower of the Hand.

My experience has definitely been that there's a difference between TV and Book Fandom for Sansa, yes. I'm originally a book fan, and disliked Sansa (at least originally; she got more interesting as the series continues), but in the TV show she's one of my favorite characters.

I think in the series, she comes off as human much more quickly, while IIRC in the books we see her from Arya's PoV for a long time, and Arya can't stand her.

Yes, that's the way I feel as well.
