LOL @ lack of warmth!

But, I agree with you, OP.

I liked Tangled, even with the dumbass songs, but Frozen was so. fucking. BORING. The songs were so bad. I really, really hated "Let It Go", it grated on my fucking nerves.

My partner played that song to our baby, and he started to headbang to it whenever we played it. He LOVES it. The funniest thing. I can't stand songs like that personally, but I think he's going to be a showtunes kid, lol.

Maybe he's writhing in pain?

My problem with Let It Go is that it feels really disconnected from the rest of the movie. It's just kind of... pasted on. IDK.

I heard that the original script had Elsa becoming a villain of sorts - after being run out of town because of her powers, she became the antagonist. She was going to sing a song about being herself, but after the director heard Let It Go, she decided it changed Elsa's character and it was better to have Elsa as well intentioned but in bad circumstances rather than a villain.

idk. I liked Let It Go the best in the movie, but there were things about the story that seemed disjointed and awkward. I think it would've been more interesting if Elsa was the "villain" (though not necessarily a bad person) because the Hans storyline seemed too convenient.

I'm kind of the opposite from you - I think they should have intensified the "misunderstood" aspect of her, and had the idea of running away from your problems = not good be a more central theme (instead of how right now it's not actually much of a theme at all, really).
I do like that she's not a traditional villain, I just think the whole story is disjointed, like you said.
Also I think that the whole story should have been drawn out for more than 3 days, though, which would have given Hans as a villain way more impact. Also get rid of the trolls and Kristoff tbh and given all that screentime to Elsa and Anna.

One of my Twitter pals tweeted the other day that she had just come from her work bathroom and that while she was in there, another woman had come in and started singing Let It Go at the top of her lungs to cover up the sound of her pooping.

But seriously, if you think about the lyrics, it really sounds like it was secretly written about pooping.
