Re: Sooo, Maleficent...

I think her prosthetics are fine. Maleficent is a cartoon villain, and most people don't have cartoon faces. They exaggerated her face without making it cartoony. I don't see anything wrong with the eyes. You think they should have actually given her yellow sclera with a tiny, pinpoint black pupil? It would have looked awful.

The CGI also doesn't bother me. I liked the look of fairy land in the trailer.

I will say though.

Not a fan of the tiny weird pixie Three Good Fairies. It seems like a misguided effort to make them seem ineffective, when in reality they were the most effective heroes of the story--they basically did all the work!

Not a fan of Elle Fanning's quasi-British accent...but I can understand there's absolutely no way to mimic Mary Costa's brilliant lyrical voice effectively.

Not a fan of casting Phillip as more modern teen heartthrob. He's one of the few martially competent Disney characters, and his character should reflect that.

Not a fan of Diablo being apparently a human shapeshifter, but I suppose Maleficent needs someone to talk to during the movie (god fucking forbid he's behind it all, goddammit).

Not a fan of any effort to try to superimpose the movie's canon with the cartoon's. I'm not going to be happy when the inevitably villainize Stefan or Hubert. It's just damn lazy.

Finally someone understands my feelings.

I am at peace.
