I'm with you on this, anon! Their animation style just screams to me "what we want is for you to BUY CHEAP PLASTIC TOYS" -- the characters look exactly like molded plastic, and it makes my brain conclude that that was the plan. (Make them look like cheap dolls, and then the dolls will be instantly recognisable to kids... and cheap.)

Bleagh. I'm really disappointed in Disney's chosen direction for 3D animation; it looks like Claymation with extra shiny lacquer, and it's so fake and, well. Toylike. That I just can't see it as anything but a cop-out and/or an attempt to tie in the marketing even more tightly.
