What is it with this whole "taking things too seriously" gab. I don't spend days and days obsessing over this (okay, I'll admit there's an essay, but it's partially for a club, and largely for funsies. ...What. I like writing essays for fun. I'm a nerd). These are things that just jumped out at me the minute I read them. It's just the way I feel about her.

And I don't get how it being fiction means you can't take it seriously. I'm so tired of hearing girls say that Hermione is their role model. Aside from being smart, I can't think of anything positive she does that other characters don't/can't do without also being a huge jerk.

I see it's best if we don't get into this, Hermione is my favorite character, to me she's awesome and it's really not possible to see her as this horrible jerk you're describing.

I don't ship Ron/Hermione because they're incompatible, and as a preventive strike (because god know in this fandom everyone is considered a shipper by default) I'm not a H/Hr shipper either.
