1. Could someone please explain this Cube thing to me? I've been seeing them a lot lately, but holy hell, where do they come from? D: And why a cube? Why a cube with hearts? What is going on?

24. Emotionally abusive in which way? If you're a Harmony fan (the type from the batshit corner of portkey), Ron's the abusive one who hates woman and treats them like they're nothing better than dirt on the ground, but if you ~~have some brain cells left~~ are not, then you might consider Hermione is the abusive one and... no. I don't think so either.

ARGH. That'll teach me to post a secret and not state sides clearly. I am NOT a Harmonian. At ALL. I don't seriously ship anyone in the books. I don't particularly care who ends up with whom, so long as the relationship doesn't make me twist into knots, or stare at the page and wonder if that's how they treat their friends/crush, how the hell are they still friends.

Or, in certain cases, what in the world happened to the character between them first showing up and their falling in love.

It's the Weighted Companion Cube from "Portal." In one portion of the game, you have to transport it through a series of puzzles, and ultimately destroy it. It's your only friend in the game, because you're an unlikable person. :( Your evil robot researcher told you so.

The Weighted Companion Cube is from the game Portal. It's basicaly a cube you have to manipulate through the game. It's introduced to your character as a 'friend' (there's only actually three people in the whole game: your character, the voiceover/computer, and the Companion Cube and the computer gives it the faint traces of anthropomorphism in it's narratin). Since it's kinda cute in a gemotric way, and due to the fate of Companion Cube, people get kinda . . . attached. Also, it's inoffensive, a good listener, and has little pink hearts. *shrug*
