Was it mean? Yes. Was it wrong? Deffinatly. But it was not emotional abuse. Emotional violence, perhaps, but not abuse. Emotional abuse requires a level of power imbalance, either in hierachy or simply on a mental/emotional level where by one party cannot fight back, and leaves lasting damage that destroys a person's sense of self worth. Ron was fighting back in spades, and neither party came out of the ordeal with crippling scars that prevented them from, say, speaking their mind or leaving the goddamed house like true emotional abuse would.
Ron and Hermiony both threw shit, and then OMG, they grew out of it, which is the normal thing for teenagers. Not pretty, not ideal, but as one person said "If I ever met my sixteen year old self, I'd punch him in the face." It's a major facet of the human condition.
If anyone is emotionaly abused in the series it's Harry, by the Dursley's and by Snape. :/
(I do belive that you aren't a Hamony shipper, though. It's quite possible to hate a pairing dynamic without being being a fan of that pairing's "rival" 'ship, as I know from personal experience.)
EDIT: Oh. I'm not saying you have to like the ship, either, or like how they treat each other. I actually don't. I find it a rather boring copy-paste of Ron's parents, in fact. But calling it abusive is wrong, because it's not. It's just immature and confrontational in it's early stages.
