Re: Characters you like in fanon more than canon?
(Anonymous) 2014-03-10 02:21 am (UTC)(link)I loved all of the Marauders, but I think the problem was that fandom tended to celebrate MWPP, whereas I feel like JKR was really trying to go the tragic hero (with 87 flaws to boot) angle with them. I still like fandom's version a bit better in the fic writing sense, though in a way it was more interesting to read when we realized how colossally screwed up they actually were.
