I botched my most serious relationship - if I were to have married, it would have been to him, but I didn't. If I had, there's a good chance we would have married, I would have followed him when he moved for his job, and I would have had kids, because that just seems to be the default. Objectively, I think I would have been happy with that, but I really don't regret it, because I really like the me that I am now. I like who I grew into on my own. I like what I've done with my life on my own. When I think back on it, it's just as a "what if", but it's not a regret. (Although I do wish mightily that I could peer into alternate universes and see what surprises that other life might have had in store.)
