I decided not to take a promotion. It made perfect sense at the time, as it would have gotten a bit of travel, and I had a family member who was ill. But now, looking back, I think that I should have accepted. The disease was easily treatable, and it was better within a couple of months. My career would have taken off. On the other hand, it stagnated. It is one of my biggest regrets.
