And I wish MORE people believed in death of the author.

I'm sorry, but no two people read the same source in the exact same way. People bring their own prior experiences into reading and in processing anything, really.

When people like you complain about "death of the author," all I hear is: "People need to stop having opinions and interpretations that differ from mine."

What I've always loved about fiction is that a lot of it is up for interpretation. Please tell me you're not planning on becoming a creator because if you can't handle the basic fact that you cannot control the way other people interpret your work, then you're not thick-skinned enough to be in the business.
