Stunt-Casting in your favorite TV show.

I was reading this week’s TVGuide Ask Matt column and someone suggested Stephanie Powers (Hart to Hart) as love interest for Tony Dinozzo Sr. (Robert Wagner, NCIS). And there was talk about Gibbs’ second wife being someone like Pam Dawber (Mark Harmon’s RL wife) or Marlee Matlin (Reasonable Doubts), either of which I would love. And there’s precedent – Dr. Ryan (Jamie Lee Curtis), McGee’s sister (Troian Bellisario), Chip (Michael Bellisario).

It can’t just be a big name, there has to be a connection (to the show, the character(s), the actor(s), writers, creators, etc.) or something that makes it a wink to the audience.

Psych does it a lot. A lot.

I want Susan Ursitti (Boof, Teen Wolf (the 1985 movie)) as Claudia Stilinski (Teen Wolf (the TV series)) or someone like Bridgette Wilson-Sampras (Mortal Kombat) or Allison Smith (Spy Game) since Linden Ashby plays Sheriff Stilinski.

What stunt-casting would you like to see?

Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Saved by the Bell) as an ex of El (Tiffani Thiessen, White Collar)?

Ewan McGregor (Trainspotting) as a junkie friend of Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller, Elementary)?

George Clooney (ER) as an ex of Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies, The Good Wife)?

I have always wanted to see Mark-Paul on White Collar. Last I knew, Tiffani gave interviews where she expressed the same sentiment.

You mention Psych. I'm disappointed that the show's about to end forever and that Andrew McCarthy and Emilio Estevez have never appeared. Andrew because he's been referenced on the show at least twice (I think three times, actually) and Emilio because he's the only remaining Breakfast Club member who has not appeared. Ally & Anthony have had recurring roles, and Judd and Molly have done one-offs. I also always wanted to see Bruce Willis as Maddie Spencer's boyfriend David because I'm a diehard Moonlighting fan (pun not intended, but I'll take it.)

I'd be interested to see any of the main six of the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. cast make an appearance on Blue Bloods (with Tom Selleck). Courteney would make the most sense, but I'd take any of them, really.

Also, I had no idea that Mark Harmon and Pam Dawber were married. That's awesome. You learn something new every day. Thanks, OP.

Mark-Paul would be fun to watch.

They've got a few more shows for Psych, maybe one or the other will happen. Oh, and Bruce Willis is genius.

Someone from Friends would be interesting, but I think John Hillerman from Magnum, PI would be awesome.

Yeah, they've been married for almost 27 years. (I loved her in My Sister Sam and Mork and Mindy.)

I want Hugh Laurie to show up on Boardwalk Empire and play '20s blues tunes.
