I personally found RTD's worst amusingly bad, whereas Moffat's worst is just bad bad.

Yeahhhhhhh. RTD's bad was still bad, but in a kind of bombastic "drawn with crayons" kind of way. Moffat's bad is just like "what the..." "why the..." "who the..." and "why should I care about..."

Me, I found RTD's writing clearly manipulative. Ten's run remains one of the few shows where I felt at multiple times "the only reason he's doing this is to jerk around the viewers." And I'll take any other kind of bad over the manipulative kind

I loved Ten at the time, but on rewatches it's quite awful. Like, Pip and Jane Baker awful.
