Yes, everything you just said. I remember the air conditioner scene (and yes, it was romantic!) DS9 was great in general for characters and relationships that grow and develop over the course of the series, but them especially. I swear, Damar goes through a more dramatic and complex character arc than the MAIN characters in some TV shows...

I actually really didn't like Kira/Odo when it became canon. I liked them a lot more in the early seasons. I accept that they loved each other and stuff but I prefer other relationships. In general though, I liked all the different dynamics. And man they were good at character flaws.

Also, I really love Cardassians in general. This show made me love lizard nazis. Yep.
