And here I'm reading this secret and thread and thinking it's weird that so many people think she has a "complete" lack of interest in him. She may not have a crush like he does, but she definitely seems to like him as a person. It's not weird for fandoms to see potential in that when it comes to shipping.

Yeah, same, this is weird to me. I mean, shipping doesn't necessarily mean TRUE LOVE + MARRIAGE + 400 BABIES, like he has a crush on her and they seem to like each other, so it's really not that much of a stretch to imagine him asking her out on a date and her accepting. It's cute, idk.

Does she? She's not a dick to him, but to me it just seems like she's trying to be polite and respectful. It wouldn't be beneficial to get on his bad side if she wants to continue the joint practices. I don't think she really has any opinions on him one way or the other.

Yeah, this was my impression too. Isn't there a part in the tournament where Seijuuro is down at the pool and trying to get her attention and she doesn't even seem to notice?

I'm not saying she's a dick towards him, but the impression I got is that if he wanted to date her Sei would have to step up his game considerably.

But she was really sad and troubled when she didn't notice his race. I kinda got the feeling that the guys were pointing out that he was really fast because they thought it was something she'd like to talk about, so at least her friends thought she was interested in him in some way.

Or do you mean him yelling and waving at her earlier? She's probably really embarrassed about him calling her "Gou-kun" and doesn't want everyone to know that she has a boy's name.

Or maybe I have my shipping goggles on and refuse to take them off? Idk, I just really like how he adores her.

I guess I should have specified romantic interest.

I still think it's odd, since people were making a stink about calling her Kou vs Gou because of 'agency'!! yet when it came to shipping her there didn't seem to be much nuance about her feelings and how she hasn't paid much attention to Seijuuro's romantic advances.

I agree with this. It's more like she doesn't notice his feelings than she dislikes his feelings or something, so why should it come as a surprise that some people think they'd make a cute couple if her feelings took a turn?
