Jonathan Ross is a skilled professional broadcaster with decades of experience who tailors his style to suit his audience. He's a good judge of his interviewees as well and knows who will find teasing and innuendo to be good fun and who won't. What he does on an adult-orientated talk show is very different from what he does when broadcasting and writing about comics and sci-fi. Don't mistake a persona for a person.

Seanan McGuire, instead of building straw men, canvassing for the hosting job and deciding who is worthy to be in her community or not, would do well to stop predicting the future and check her facts first - Jonathan Ross is married to a Hugo award-winner and has done sterling work in promoting sci-fi outside of the geek ghetto. Hardly an outsider.

"geek ghetto"? Are you meaning to imply here that geeks and people who are into scifi and comics are living in disadvantaged positions within society? For liking GEEKY things?

Get off my planet.

Yeah, but when you hire someone for this sort of work, you're not hiring their personal life, you're hiring their persona, and if that persona has a history of being skeevy to women, that's a problem.
