In fact the one thing I liked about this debacle was her upending of the Russian federation's plans to shaft her--it is obvious Yulia was the Chosen One since Adelina didn't even get to skate in the team event. I imagine it gave her a lot of pride to give the Russian fed the middle finger the way she did.
Both are disgusting. I just don't know if I can even be bothered to invest myself in a sport where the manipulation is that obvious. I thought we'd left that behind after the judging scandal of Salt Lake City. Shit like this just curdles interest in the sport.
