They sound like that sort of person.

Why assume the worst? You're on the Internet--it's not like this person can steal your wallet or something. (Seriously, it seems like you come to the most cynical conclusion a LOT.)

I am actually pretty damn cynical.

I've seen this attitude a lot, often from people socialized to believe humility is best in all things, but still are assholes, so they become humble assholes.

Seriously, though: I'm not implying OP is going to do anything horrible, just that they'll be annoying, which is different.
