fwiw, OP, not everyone who writes fanfiction that can be tagged as "rape" is writing RACK or fantasy or darkfic as titalation. At least one author I know wrote a series in which the entire emphasis was on the aftermath of the assault and the main character's struggle to recover (NOT by falling in love with the rapist!) The last story in the series finally had the main character confronting the rapist. It didn't end on HEA, but on a slightly positive note.

If you are looking for "realism" in fiction, something more mainstream and less fanficky might be a better choice.

P.S. I do think analyzing rape tropes in fanfiction might be interesting from a sociological perspective, but as others have pointed out, most fanfic is fantasy.

What's the name of this series and what fandom is it? It sounds interesting.
