Can't wait for Rise of the Frozen Tangled Dragons.

Oh, that's already a thing. Unfortunately.

Sounds like body horror.

It's Rise of the Brave Frozen Tangled Dragons. I assume any future CGI-animated movies with adjective titles will be added later.

That's only if they have that quasi-homogeneous visual style, though. I half expected stuff like 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2' and 'Despicable Me 2' (and to a lesser extent, 'The Croods') to get absorbed in the juggernaut, but nope. They're apparently too stylized for those fancy crossover gif sets on Tumblr.

(Not that I'm complaining. The farther away from that crossover those movies stay, the better, imho)

Although if Big Hero 6 (an animated movie by Disney, based on an obscure Marvel series of all things) ends up having a similar visual style to Tangled and Frozen, well... =T
Edited (forgot about Big Hero 6 from Disney (which is supposed to be out this year, but I haven't seen anything for it at all in months)) 2014-03-15 21:34 (UTC)

Good. I like Despicable me too much to crossover it :D

Off-topic: I looked up Big Hero 6 on Wikipedia, and I've actually heard of one these people. Silver Samurai was a Wolverine villain before he became a good guy. (He had the power to make a sword slice through almost anything--not to HAVE a sword that sliced through almost anything, but to give that power to a sword, even if it was just a toy.)

I have never heard of any of the others. Congratulations, Disney--you now have a superhero movie with more obscure main characters than Guardians of the Galaxy.

No kidding. I think that might be to the movie's benefit: it's not tied into the MCU in the slightest (not that will stop people from trying to find ways to connect them), so it can stand on its own and be its own thing.

Though since it doesn't have the brand name recognition that other Marvel properties do and also the lack of the MCU connection, I'm calling it now: Marvel will announce an all-ages, 'Power Pack'-esque string of BH6 comics at SDCC this summer.

The moment Frozen came out, people were shipping Elsa/Jack Frost. It was inevitable.

Both people with voices that don't fit finding icy love. I know it.

Voices that don't fit?

Chris Pine's deep voice in the body of a 14-year-old-looking boy was... kind of bewildering.

Elsa's voice doesn't bother me near as much, though. I don't really like Idina Menzel, but it's fine.

I haven't watched Guardians so I wasn't familiar with his VA. Thanks.

I actually thought the music was a bit out of place because it sounded too modern to me. But maybe it's just because I'm older now and now a 9 year old watching BatB or Lady and the Tramp etc.

In the theater, the moment Anna dragged Elsa into the ballroom to play with the snow, my mind screamed out "You're gonna ship Jack Frost with her, nonny. Non-negotiable. Do it."
