Are there such complaints about the trolls? Because the trolls have a better usefulness/appearance time ratio to me than the Wesley, now that I think of it.

The troll king healed young Anna.

And in their later appearance, they identified what was wrong with Anna and told her how to cure it. It also served to set up the red herring of her resorting to Kristoff after Hans does his reveal, which in turn gets Anna out on the fjord at the same time Hans is chasing Elsa, thust ending up with Anna being in the place so she can block Hans' attack.

So the trolls may be obnoxious with their "Fixer-Upper" song, but they have a place in the plot.
