Don't compare TLM with this crap, please!

(Anonymous) 2014-03-16 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
At least the movie had a shit ton better message than TLM.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-16 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, the message was... "people don't want movies with plots, they just want incesty pairings"

(Anonymous) 2014-03-16 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
In my opinion:

Anna is a superior protagonist to Ariel, Kristoff a superior love interest, Hans more interesting (if not as fun), the music is mostly on par (but I give the edge IMO), the message of the movie is vastly superior, the character arcs are vastly superior, I think the plot is more interesting (but again not as fun). It's kind of hard to compare animation, but I think I do prefer Ariel's; I think most of the design of Frozen is better, but what is communicated through the animation of TLM is superior.

I'm a huge Disney fan. TLM is probably my second favorite Disney film (and it does beat out Frozen), but I don't think Frozen is crap and I think there are some ways that Frozen is *clearly* better, insofar as one can have an objective opinion.

Right. Whatever you say!

Frozen >>>>> TLM

TLM is overrated shit. "give up your voice in exchange for cock" is not a good message for little girls.

Uh, no. It's "Give up your voice to finally get to LAND and be with the humans. The possible boyfriend is just icing on the cake!"

Hell, that movie isn't even my favorite and I was never a hug fan of Ariel's, but c'mon dude. She used Erik as her "get out of jail free" card to finally be where she truly wanted to be.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-16 07:39 am (UTC)(link)
Still an overrated movie. Ariel sucks.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-16 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Well...see, I said it elsewhere in this thread that TLM is my second favorite Disney movie, but while Disney *does* try to mitigate the whole 'give up everything for a man you don't know' by adding Ariel's fascination with anthropology, let's be absolutely honest: the only thing Ursula sees fit to tempt Ariel with is Eric. The only thing Ariel looks forward to on the surface is Eric. Once Eric is really introduced, it becomes entirely about him.

I don't blame non-fans for forgetting that Ariel's Part of That World in favor of Part of Your World, because the movie eventually forgets her fascination with humans for the most part.

OMG! A woman falls in love with a guy, and she's an idiot!

What a sad little mind you have.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-16 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm surprised they don't hate Ariel's father more, being the anti-men idiots that they are. It would make more sense.

Let me guess, another rabid, irrational feminist out to get "the patriarchy"?
