Yes, but "fuck you" feels really aggressive and personal. "Women are there just to be eye candy" is neither.

I'm not trying to tell others how to react, it just makes me cringe a little.

Late to the party, but as a woman? I find "Women are there just to be eye candy" WAY more aggressive and personal than "fuck you".

The latter is just a generic insult. The former is telling me my place in the world. I would rather have all the "fuck you"s in the world.

not saying your reaction is wrong (especially not knowing your gender), just saying there are other sides.
