I don't know this fandom, but that sounds like a lot of fun! I think you should keep going with it. Just take it nice and slow so that you don't get overwhelmed.

Which rarepair, OP?

Staple canon ship... Considering the only couple currently together is Jeremy/Bonnie is it one of them with someone? I know Damon/Bonnie was almost a thing among fans back in season one and Jeremy/Tyler, too, but I'm not sure it'd be either of those now so I'm curious. :)

Whatever it is, good luck, that type of thing can be really interesting

OP here: super late reply that you may or may not see, but my ship is Damon/Jeremy. Am now 15K into the fic and it's... still fun. :D
