But OP, fandom is SRS BZNS. WE MUST ALL ENJOY FANDOM IN THIS EXTREMELY SPECIFIC WAY OR WE ARE DOING IT WRONG.

It does suck when people rain on others' parades. Even more so when BNFs do it, I'd say. I mean, they're already BNFs so they clearly have a big group of people who enjoy fandom the way they do. What's the harm in people enjoying it differently?
