Just because I like somebody's fic doesn't mean I have any desire to get to know the person behind those words. I have no interest in saying hi to my favorite pro authors, despite spending YEARS with their words. The same is true for most fic writers I read. Only a few write work that leaves me interested enough to leave a comment on it.

Kudos, for me, is just a way to say 'Nice work.' I guess if it strikes people as creepy I'll just stop doing it, though. :P
