IT DEFINITELY IS! There's something about the fact that the spacing and letters are irregular that makes it possible to distinguish between a lowercase L, a capital I, and the number 1. It also negates the "white river" effect, which is seen mostly when something (-cough- newspapers -cough-) uses justify, and pretty much all I can see is this meandering white line of uniform thickness because remember what I said about the spacing being regular?

I know, I know, back to special-snowflake land for me.

I used to trace the rivers on mass printed stuff when I was broad and didn't need to pay attention but still needed to be there.
