Other writers deleting fanfics makes me sad.
I get a little smile when I see kudos (I uploaded my old stuff to A03 for ease of the readers when I locked my LJs). However, comments make me uncomfortable. They might be expecting me to reply and I've really moved on. Plus, if I try to reply to them anyway and accidentally catch a glimpse of my old writing... ay ay ay, far too painful.

So I post any and every fanfic I write to my ao3, no matter how awful it is, no matter how drunk I was when I wrote it. I stand face to face with my shame every time I log onto that website. I think it's given me more confidence when I share my slightly better quality original fiction to writing workshops.
Then again, I don't pay attention to e-mail alerts for comments.
