Actually, I have a question. I didn't need an invite code to sign up. It was pretty automatic. What is the point in invite codes then?

I think with an invite code you get in faster? Especially because at first there was a waiting list that could take a while to get to you. But I dunno if that's actually true or not, just what I thought.

It's for when the backlog queue is really backed up. Like after the great 2012 Guideline Reinforcement on fanfiction.net. The time between application and actual invite skyrocketed to nearly a month. If someone could give you an invite, you got in right away.

Right now, it's sitting at around a day, so that's not bad at all.
