Khaleesi is a title, not her name (Daenerys or Dany). Argh I cannot stand show!fans who only call her Khaleesi or "Kelly C."

I heard it secondhand, from someone on ontd who said that was what their parent called her. They may have been joking or making it up, but given the amount of people who genuinely think Dany's name is Kahleesi I find it fairly plausible.
