No it isn't. It's a good show. Not as good as people say (It's highly overrated and bbay's first mecha), but it's not bad.

It's not bad at all! I recently rewatched some of the episodes, not having touched the series in over a decade and pretty much ignoring the fandom, and was surprised by how exciting and badass the action scenes were.
