It's the only one of hers I've read because a few months ago I was like "I am gonna be super smart and read all the Toni Morrison books" but then I got sidetracked.

What didn't you like about it? Was it the subject matter or something else?

For me it was mainly the structure of the story. I was thrown off by the way it started with a focus on one character and progressed through to end up on a completely different one without ever returning to any it had mentioned before. It wasn't a story I could get into. Not wild about the subject matter either, but I could see value in the subject. It was really about the storytelling style for me.

Oh yeah, hm. I wondered why she did that, but I liked it from an artistic view.

I will say that I was reading it in pdf form on my kindle and I wasn't really expecting it to end where it did.
