Yeah, I'm learning this about myself more and more in retrospect.

I mean, I did go to a really small school and I had terrible experiences with the girls there. And even when I got to a bigger school and started making friends with fellow nerdy girls who were not into clothes and stuff* being "cooler with guys" had become part of my self-identity for so long that I still considered myself to be friends with mostly guys, even though most of my closest friends were girls.


*And then it turned out, after we were older, that some of those girls WERE into "girly" things like make-up and dresses and things, and THAT was just as alright too (but some of them had tried to hide it because being a nerdy girl also meant being a tomboy).
