I have a hard time saying things are in-character because canon probably means the pairing isn't possible at all, so what I have instead is "in character, assuming these two characters have complimentary sexualities and are attracted to each other." It's kind of a necessary pairing assumption. Also, I love monster-of-the-week, so there's that.

Where the Sheriff doesn't know werewolves exist and makes assumptions about why his son is running around with Derek, also something is killing people
