Danny/Mindy is one of my OTPs and I love them dearly. While I'm not seeing the same problems you are, I will give you that the kiss happened way too soon. I think a lot of that has to do with the fear that they wouldn't be picked up for a s3, but I worry about the ramifications.

I actually really like Cliff and I was looking forward to Danny realizing that of all of Mindy's love interests, Cliff is actually the most like him and having to deal with that being both good (Mindy could fall for him one day) and bad (because since in my head at least Danny/Mindy are endgame, if Danny doesn't put his hat in the ring soon, Cliff might marry her first.)

Frankly, I think The Mindy Project's biggest problem this season is Peter. I wish Anna Camp were still around and that Gwen was still playing a part in the show. I feel like we haven't seen Betsy in ages (and Betsy/Jeremy had a lot of super cute potential.) I like Adam Pally, but I resent his addition to the cast because I don't think the character adds anything worthwhile to the show.
