A list of works Gilles de Rais has been a villain in

[personal profile] feotakahari 2014-03-20 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
All gleaned off TV Tropes:

Fate/Zero portrays him as a demented serial killer.

Jeanne d'Arc ends with a demon being sealed inside him, with the implication that he was ultimately unable to control it.

In Tetragrammaton Labyrinth, his love for Joan of Arc drove him mad and turned him into a villain.

Makai Ouji turns him into more of a trickster figure, but he's still portrayed as violently unstable and a danger to those around him.

In Drifters, he's the first villain to get killed off.

Castlevania 64 has him as one of the vampires serving Dracula.

eXceed apparently has a gender-flipped version of him as an evil sorceress. (I'm not exactly clear on the details.)

Darkedon (Korean) has him as one of three "master vampires," along with Elizabeth Bathory and Vlad Tepes.

Crepuscule (Korean) also has him as an evil vampire.

Night Watch (Russian) uses him as an example of what happens when a Light Other completely snaps.

The Dresden Files (American) briefly mentions him as one of the previous holders of the mantle of the Winter Night. Every listed holder is or was suspected of being a serial killer.

Fallen Angel (American comic book) makes him Moloch's right-hand man.

Hmm, wound up being shorter than I thought . . .

That's still a longer list than I would expect. Thanks!

There's at least one more that I can think of the Sakura Taisen game on DS has pretty much everyone connected with Jeanne D'arc as the villain (including Joan herself), I never finished the game but I do believe at the end Gilles ends up being the main bad guy who his manipulating Joan.
