That's a shame. It's not like ALL charities do this, after all. People should just do their homework before they donate and make sure they're okay with how the charity spends their intake. If in doubt, go local. Homeless shelters, women's shelters, food banks, suicide hotlines... donating time is helpful, not just money, and a charity is far less able to misuse your time.

Exactly. There are plenty of well-established charities that do not misuse the funds. You just have to do some research and automatically avoid the more suspicious ones that pop up on Facebook after every disaster.
