It isn't the fact she is female. It is the fact that she got between John and Sherlock. A portion of Sherlock fans are convinced that Johnlock is going to be canon. And they will hate anyone who gets in their way.

It is sort of like how hardcore wincest shippers hate hardcore destiel shippers (and vice versa).

Except I have yet to meet a Wincest shipper who actually believes Wincest will be canon. It's more like how hardcore Destiel shippers hated Charlie or that one clerk chick or w/e (or anybody who potentially gets between Destiel).
