Wait, why should they have blocked their name? It's still a publicly available comment we could find if we read back in f!s.

Because it's a courtesy thing. This is a heated topic, if the comments above can be used as proof. The secret maker had no idea if GreenVelvetCake would be here today to defend her position.

So instead of her comment being one among many like she intended it to be when she posted, it's now got a huge target put on it because it's in the secret. There's a difference between having one's position presented on their own terms and putting someone up for ridicule.

GreenVelvetCake probably doesn't care but I find it incredibly tacky.

My thoughts exactly. It wasn't talking about fandom at all. And since the secretnaker took this from a thread about adults justifying their sexual attraction to those who are underage, it kinda makes me side-eye them a bit.

I hope greenvelvetcake doesn't get too much grief from this. I'm anon, so I don't got to worry about it but she does.
