Yes, this. Sometimes when people go through the trouble to nitpick the differences between those terms, it's not just to be pedantic, but to imply that ephebephilia is okay - not just different than pedophilia, but perfectly acceptable as anything other than a fantasy. They start waxing poetic about how twelve-year-old girls used to be married with two kids back in Ye Olden Times as if that's something to regard with envy. It's more than a little creepy and that's what I'm reminded of whenever anybody brings up ephebophilia, even if they're just doing it for specificity's sake.

Also there are lots of problems with young girls and forced marriage in some places and the girls dying in childbirth aged 12 or developing health problems from being made to have sex with a grown man. It's still wrong.
