In the context of a post that says "when I was young and my ideas about the world came from books, I had these expectations, but now I know that people only are your friends for what they can get out of you." Not "one day I realized that all my 'friends' were just out for what they could get from me," but "'friends' are always just out for what they can get from you." How is that not claiming their experience as a universal truth.
