It's extra annoying when the ship is being portrayed as abusive so one half can escape to the loving arms of a third character.
I guess to be fair, that sort of thing does tend to be implied, if not outright stated in the summary. Still wish it wasn't tagged with it, though, if the pairing is just a plot angle to drive the story's actual ship.

I understand why people do tag it all, even if the characters turn up for one bit of dialogue. I think it's just when it's an unpopular ship already it can just be a bit of an annoyance. "Ah, finally! ... oh. Oh that is not what I wanted. :("
