Hi I've had depression my entire life and it's never interfered with my ability to go online or even talk about it online.

Often that's all I can do, I can't leave my house or do anything worthwhile, but I can get online because it passes the time. I don't see people IRL or chat on the phone, but my brain has always felt like that's different.

Depression can have similar symptoms but it doesn't change the fact that individuals react to it individually. Some people go out and drink, some stay home and play video games. This is partially why mental illness is so hard to detect and manage, because it's different for everyone.
