Yep, it happens. I knew someone who had a service dog to help her deal with PTSD and she was really enthusiastic about how great service dogs are (which was good; I used to work with them and it was awesome, though mine were for physical disabilities) but then she would get suspicious whenever she asked someone what their dog does for them and they wouldn't want to talk about it. It didn't seem to occur to her that not everyone is as open about these things as she is. And then she would get people agreeing with her when she told other people about these instances.

I only recently heard about service dogs for PTSD and I think that is such a cool thing. Watched a really feels-inducing short vid about it a few months ago.

I watched a similar thing recently. My girlfriend has seen pretty much every dog documentary on Youtube and she has me watch the best ones and one of them included a couple stories that made me cry in a good way.
