I'm also gonna weasel in Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead, since he technically counts.

Eric Finch from V for Vendetta (the movie version; haven't read the graphic novel). I have a really painful fondness for law enforcement officers living in really shitty worlds and coming to terms with that.

I've also got a similar fondness for Inspector Javert, even though he's a dick.

I have a soft spot for the long-suffering straight cop to the protagonist's genius detective/thief/analyst/whatever, so people like Commissioner Gordon, Inspector Lestrade, Inspector Zenigata, Inspector Ganimard, etc tend to get a lot of my votes.

I'll also put in a vote for Cheery Littlebottom, because forensic alchemist female dwarf in a fantasy police force. Gotta love it.

Lin Bei Fong comes to mind first, and she is the embodiment of badass. <3

Also a big fan of of Terezi/Redglare. And I know I'm blanking on someone. I'm quite fond of turian culture, and turians are widely regardeed as galactic peacekeepers in the Mass Effect universe.

Officer Jenny also comes to mind but maybe just because I saw a meme with her in it earlier today?
